Illness is Healing

Healing literally means to make whole, while Illness usually refers to a person’s personal experience of their unwanted and, or painful physical or mental condition.

Usually, in the pursuit of comfort, illness is falsely perceived as the enemy; hence we make judgments and form erroneous beliefs about illness. But what if we could recognise the illness in another way?  What if we viewed illness as a part of the healing process? How would our experience change?

Illness is an important aspect of healing because it is the natural way that our soul constantly transmutes or expels non-loving energies from our body and our aura. Unfortunately, we have a tendency to resist this very necessary process because we don’t understand that the illness is part of the healing process itself, and as a result, we suffer.

As much as we want to be beings of light, this is not yet a reality for any of us leaving on this planet. So, we are bound to be subject to some form of physical or mental illness throughout the course of our life. The important thing is not to judge, resist or condemn the illness. Rather than say “Why did I call this to myself?  Or “What did I do to bring this upon myself? “, it’s best to disentangle ourselves from our perceptual interpretations and become one with the illness. No judgment, blame or victimhood.

With this new model in place, we can be a clear, loving conduit through which God’s love can flow to create the transformation (healing) required on all levels of our being.

Hence, the journey from illness to healing begins with the decision to seize the opportunity to place our value in the presence of Love above all else. There is much occurring that might yet seem unseen to us, but when we place our value on love, the effect on the illness is assured to be a very positive one; for it is this consciousness where real healing takes place.

Bless the illness, it’s a sign that you are healing. Herein lays the gift.
