Yoga and Meditation techniques are well know for their therapeutic benefits and are often used as part of our therapy work as well as taught in classes.

Accompanied by music Yoga classes focuses on gentle movements, natural alignment of posture, rhythmic breathing, relaxation, and meditation. It is gentle yet powerful in its healing impact and leaves you feeling revitalised, relaxed and uplifted.It is especially therapeutic for those with arthritis, inflexibility, respiratory problems and general health issues. It helps reduce the effects of stress and fatigue in the body while at the same time provides the healing effects achieved through deep relaxation.

Yoga and Meditation are suitable for everyone.

Classes can be tailored to suit school students as well as the elderly and is an ideal supplement to any sports program.

The first part of the program consists of gentle, natural Yoga movements and breathing practices that help increase the range of movement as well as developing greater lung capacity and improved balance.

The second part of the program introduces Yoga Nidra (Deep Relaxation). This is an enjoyable meditative deeply relaxing experience. Yoga Nidra has the effect of putting the body into a deep sleep while keeping the mind alert. Research conducted at universities and medical centres throughout the world shows that regular practice of Yoga Nidra offers a viable means of prevention and reversal of numerous ailments and diseases, including cardiovascular, stress- related illness, chronic pain, and psychosomatic conditions.

Class Presentation:

Each class is taught in one-hour blocks on a weekly basis or as required. More advanced classes may be longer and include specific breathing practices and a variety of meditation practices.
