CBTCognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is a relatively short-term, focused approach to the treatment of many types of emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties. There is not one cognitive behaviour therapy.

(CBT) is an umbrella term used for quite a few therapies that share the same underlying principle; it is not an environmental trigger or situation that causes a person’s emotional response; rather it is what the person thinks about these events that le4ads to their emotional reaction.

(CBT) based therapeutic interventions are directed toward changing the person’s cognitions- that is their thoughts, beliefs and behaviours in order to change the resulting emotion.
